Warranties – Who to Believe? Manufacturer or Retailer?
If you’re feeling confused when it comes to spa warranties, you’re probably not alone. That’s because every spa manufacturer and retailer claims to offer the best warranty. So who should you believe?
Everyone can’t have the best warranty in the business. Sure some spa retailers offer excellent warranties while others offer inferior warranties with a lot of fine print that’s hard to understand. But how can you tell the difference?
One of the best ways you know you can trust a spa warranty and a spa seller is to compare warranties. A reputable spa dealer who offers a quality warranty will always provide you with exact copies of their warranty. That’s because that warranty is what helps them sell spas.

What does the Sundance Spa Warranty include?
You can go to the Sundance Spa warranty page and look at the warranty for the spa you’re considering, or we can print out for you, but a few things that every one of their warranties includes are:
1. Shell Structure
Depending on which model you purchase, your Sundance Spa shell is warranted against water loss caused by spa shell defects for 5 or 10 years.
2. Shell Surface
Sundance Spas are warranted against things like blistering, cracking and delamination of interior surfaces for 2 or 7 years depending on the specific model series you choose.
3. Equipment and Controls
One series of Sundance Spas has a 2-year warranty on equipment and controls, and three different series have a 5-year warranty on equipment and controls. That means spa equipment like the pump, heater, and control system are protected against malfunctions due to manufacturing defects.
4. Plumbing Components
Your new Sundance Spa is warranted against plumbing component leaks due to manufacturing defects for 2 years or 5 years depending on which model series it’s in.
5. Cabinets
The Sundance Spa SundanceStrong synthetic cabinets are wanted against manufacturing defects for 1 year or 5 years depending on model series. The warranty doesn’t cover normal wear and weathering that occurs naturally.
Remember, whether you choose a Sundance Spa from Alcoe or not, warranties are meant to cover against damage as a result of manufacturing defects. Warranties aren’t designed to cover consequential damages. Also, even the best warranties won’t cover you for damage caused by misuse of your spa.
One final warning: Beware of oral warranties. If a spa retailer tells you something is covered in the warranty, make sure you get it in writing. Remember, the best way to judge and compare warranties is to ask for a printed copy or go online and print it out yourself, so that you can make an informed decision.
